SYNOPSIS:

A documentary on the most influential film mogul in Hollywood history. Through a series of interviews, Amanda Ladd-Jones embarks on a journey with personal nuances to better understand her father, Alan Ladd, Jr. - known to friends and colleagues as Laddie - the executive manager at the head of the most important studios in Hollywood in the last decades of the last century, veiled producer responsible for dozens of Oscar prizes and behind colossal as Star Wars, Aline, Blade Runner, Braveheart, Thelma and Louise. Known for risky choices, betting on talent and resolutely trusting the directors he hired, Laddie created pioneering opportunities for women and minorities, both on screen and behind the camera. Many interviews with filmmakers and top-level stars like George Lucas, Ridley Scott, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Affleck, Ron Howard, Morgan Freeman, Mel Gibson ... all names that owe him their success.
