BIOGRAFIA:

Giuseppe Varlotta (Asti, 1971) is a director, screenwriter and Italian film producer. In the years 1995-1996 he attended the courses of the theatrical school A.T.A. of Alexandria. In February 1998 he made his first short film as a director. Between 2004 and 2005 he made a commercial of social communication, So if you like, on disability and a video-documentary entitled Progetto Equal, disabled people in the world of work. In the same period he produced and directed the short film Nanà. The short film wins the Italian Cinema Cinecittà Holding at the Venice Film Festival, is awarded by the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles and receives the Special Artistic Mention at the MIFF - Milan International Film Festival. In 2007 he produced and directed his first feature film titled Zoè. The film, recognized Film d'Essai by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, is presented at the 2008 Giffoni Film Festival and is awarded at the Salento International Film Festival 2008, at the MIFF Milan International Film Festival 2009, at the Terra di Siena Film Festival 2009, at Brasov International Film Festival 2012, at the Busseto Music Film Festival 2012, at the International Stories in History Festival.
