BIOGRAFIA:
Autore, filmmaker e giornalista, Güner Yasemin Balci ha focalizzato spesso nei suoi lavori sull’immigrazione nella società tedesca. Ha lavorato fino al 2008 nel TV news magazine “Frontal 21” e ora lavora regolarmente anche per Arte. Nel 2008 il suo primo romanzo “Arabboy – A Youth in Germany or the short life of Rashid A.“ fu adattato con successo per il teatro, come pure il suo secondo romanzo “ArabQueen or the taste of freedom” nel 2010. Nel 2012 Balci vince il CIVIS TV award per il suo reportage “Death of a Judge – On the trails of Kirsten Heise”. E pubblica nel 2014 il suo terzo libro “Aliyahs Escape”, dove descrive la vera storia di una giovane rifugiata kurda, determinata a vivere sotto un nome di copertura, aiuatata per i suoi problemi anche dall’autore. Nel 2015 il suo documentario “Der Jungfrauenwahn“ (VirginMania) vince il Bavarian TV award, il CIVIS TV award e fu was candidato per il Prix Europa. “The great Journey – Seyran Ates and the way towards a reformed islam“ e il suo secondo documentario.
