SYNOPSIS:

Two young latinos, Roman and Nora, live on their own in the difficult Milan’s suburbs. Struggling against the jungle which is the city, they find the natural environment to be their only spiritual shelter, but the gang’s circle to be their only real protection. That’s why the truly peacable Roman struggles to be accepted by it. Hence the “Baptism” that names the film, a ritual here smeared by violence. This peculiar exploration of the primal instinct of belonging is set in a scenario that evokes the ancient past from which the initiatory ritual draws its roots, and is interpreted by non-professional actors, whose past is in many cases linked to the gangs.
