MOVIE: Woman of the Photographs
SYNOPSIS:
Two solitudes merge together: the one of a strange photographer, obsessed with insects, and the one of a beautiful and fragile former dancer, who’s now become a social star. In order to earn his living, he uses photo retouching technology as his women clients command, so that they can come closer to an ideal fake perfection, the same that the female protagonist is convulsively seeking. She struggles for approval, by showing her new public, the Instagram one, only the outwardly “winning” aspect of herself, according to the latest trends. They will discover together the meaning of the true self, that is nowadays stifled by a widespread complex form of narcisism, thus very difficult to find. In fact, it’s only by taking care of each other that we do learn to know and love ourselves.
