BIOGRAFIA:

With a Franco-Senegalese background, Daouda Diakhate grew up in several working-class neighborhoods in the Bordeaux suburbs. At 23, he became a socio-cultural animator and discovered the audiovisual industry by setting up projects linked to the CNC's "passeur images" system. He runs his first workshops in image education and audiovisual awareness. This new experience allows him to discover screenwriting and directing in different forms, but also that making films is a powerful way to communicate and exist. Daouda founded the association "Nos Rêves Production" in 2009. This structure aims to introduce the audiovisual and cinema professions to as many people as possible. The objective is to give a voice to the inhabitants of the working-class districts of Bordeaux, to allow them to express theirselves. At the same time, Daouda is pursuing a career as an actor for cinema and television. In 2015, he directed a self-produced documentary "Doors to equality" and in 2018 his first short film "Bulles d´air". "Bulles d´air" began its life at a festival and won three prizes for its first selection at a festival ("Cinébanlieue" festival): Prize for male interpretation, prize of the student jury and grand prize of the Jury.
